"Another Swastika Is Found on a Building in Brooklyn"
"A swastika was found on Saturday spray-painted on a building on the same block in Brooklyn Heights that was home to a man who confessed to an anti-Semitic vandalism spree in the neighborhood last fall.
The man, Ivaylo Ivanov, is still in jail, and investigators do not believe he had anything to do with the new swastika, which was discovered on the side of a three-story brick town house at 22 Remsen Street.
Donald Brennan, 42, who owns a nearby building, said he discovered the swastika around 10:30 a.m. and alerted the people living in the building.
“I was sitting in my car at the curb with my family, I looked over my shoulder and I saw it there,” he said, adding that he felt “absolutely shocked, kind of sick.”
Martha Spector, 50, who lives on the first floor of 22 Remsen, said she called the police after Mr. Brennan told her about the black swastika, which was about 2 feet by 2 feet.
Ms. Spector said that her husband is Jewish and that she is a convert to Judaism. She said that as far as she knew, no one else living in the building is Jewish, and that she knew of no one who would have had a reason to single out her family for vandalism.
“I am very surprised, shocked,” she said.
The latest act involving anti-Semitic graffiti came at a time when many in the neighborhood were still talking about Mr. Ivanov, who was arrested in late January after the police searched his home at 58 Remsen Street and found a cache of weapons.
Under videotaped questioning, Mr. Ivanov admitted he was behind an anti-Jewish vandalism spree in September in which he scratched, scrawled and spray-painted swastikas and slurs on cars, playgrounds, synagogues and building facades.
How come the New York Times doesn't reference back that "Mr. Ivanov told the police that he was born in Sicily and raised in Bulgaria, and that he had been trained by Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad?"

“I’m very aware of the other events,” Mr. Brennan said. “My immediate reaction is that some kid was aware that these kinds of things get a lot of attention. But how sad that someone would do this.”
Ms. Spector, who owns the building with her husband, said the police asked her not to remove the swastika right away because they needed it as evidence.
“I’m quite anxious to get it off the building,” she said.
