Bush on Drugs

The guy is on them.

He has to be, or else he is INSANE!!!

"Bush urges Congress to cut online drug sales"

"by Associated Press | March 2, 2008

WASHINGTON - President Bush yesterday urged Congress to pass legislation aimed at ending illegal sales of highly addictive prescription drugs on the Internet, citing a growing number of fatal overdoses.

I view this as the feds wanting to get their claws into the Internet now.

Leave the Net alone!!!

Since when has this mass-murderer given a damn about life, especially when profits are involved?

Bush used his weekly radio address to highlight his administration's 2008 national drug control strategy, which the White House released yesterday. The strategy seeks a 10 percent cut in youth drug use with continued interdiction efforts such as random student drug testing, community outreach, and screening and prevention at doctors' offices.

I told you!!!

This is about the POLICE STATE!!!!!

Sig Heil when you piss into that cup!

The president said that while an estimated 860,000 fewer young people are using drugs today than in 2001, the abuse of prescription drugs persists.

Government #s, right?

Wow, Bush's war on drugs was another big success -- just like Iraq and Afghanistan!

"Unfortunately, many young Americans do not understand how dangerous abusing medication can be, and in recent years, the number of Americans who have died from prescription drug overdoses has increased," Bush said.

Says the alcoholic, cocaine-addled insaner-in-chief!

One factor behind the trend is the availability of highly addictive prescription drugs on the Internet, he said.

"The Internet has brought about tremendous benefits for those who cannot easily get to a pharmacy in person," Bush said. "However, it has also created an opportunity for unscrupulous doctors and pharmacists to profit from addiction."

That's better than making profits off wars that kill people, I guess.

Bush's drug policy adviser, John Walters, said the government is now focusing its "supply, demand, and prevention policies with the goal of seeing the same reductions that we have achieved for illegal 'street' drugs."

Pfffffttt! The street is awash in drugs!!!!

I see the kids on the corner down there smoking the weed!

.... He mentioned cases of "rogue" Internet pharmacies that often do not require prescriptions or allow prescriptions to be faxed, making it easier for customers to forge documents or use it at multiple pharmacies....

Sort of like yellowcake forgeries about Iraq, right, Busher?

Bush, who is spending the weekend at his Texas ranch with the prime minister of Denmark, said that since 2001, the rate of youth drug abuse has dropped by 24 percent.

He said young people's use of marijuana is down by 25 percent; their use of ecstasy has dropped by more than 50 percent; and their use of methamphetamine has declined by 64 percent.

Then what and where is the problem with so much success?

Bush also called on entertainers and professional athletes to serve as role models for young people:

"People in the entertainment and sports industries serve as role models to millions of young Americans, and that comes with the responsibility to dispel the notion that drug abuse is glamorous and free of consequences. Teachers, pastors and parents also have an obligation to help young people develop the character and self-respect to resist drugs."

But Big Pharma will load 'em up with ritalin and all that other A.D.D. garbage.

In the strategy report, the White House said a recent survey found steroid use among eighth, 10th, and 12th graders combined was down from 2001 by 40 percent for use during lifetime, 42 percent for the past year, and 22 percent for the past month."

Then WHY the Congressional hearings?

Why Bush's big pitch on this shit?

Seems like the kids already have the message.

Of course, we all know what this is REALLY ABOUT!!!!

Bush still on drugs:

"Bush: Listen to Generals on Troop Levels"

How come my local is different than the web?

"President Bush declined Saturday to promise more U.S. troop withdrawals from Iraq before he leaves office, and underscored the need for a strong military presence...

"There is going to be enormous speculation. My sole criteria is that whatever we do, it ought to be in the context of success. I think our generals ought to be concerned about making sure there's enough of a presence so that the provincial elections can be carried out in such a way that democracy advances.''

The president spoke at his Texas ranch where he hosted Danish prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen for talks about NATO's mission in Afghanistan, climate change, Iran, and other trans-Atlantic issues. They took time, though, for two mountain bike rides at the dusty ranch at sunset Friday and again at sunrise yesterday.

Well, that's just great as PALESTINIANS are being SLAUGHTERED!!!

Next time the fucker goes for a bike ride, I hope he FALLS OFF a CLIFF!!!!!!

This is what the web version added:

The U.S., so far unsuccessfully, has pressed for some NATO members to send more troops to Afghanistan and drop military restrictions that the U.S. says hampers the effort. Bush and Fogh Rasmussen made the case again.

The president sought to strike a balance between berating allies and meeting an urgent goal:

"We expect people to ... carry a heavy burden. I understand that there's certain political considerations on certain countries.''

They already are, asshole!!

And if you got a problem with it, send more U.S. forces and shut the fuck up, 'kay?

Either that or WITHDRAW THEM ALL and QUIT KILLING PEOPLE, you MASS-MURDERING SOB!!!!!

.... There are increasing signs that France, under the new leadership of President Nicolas Sarkozy, appears ready to answer the call. The White House hopes that such a decision would encourage similar ones from other countries, or at least keep Canada from leaving....

Oh, yeah, this mission is going great.

All while the Taliban continue to gain ground, huh?

Bush declined to criticize Iraq's government for inviting Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to Baghdad. The trip Sunday will be the first ever to Iraq by an Iranian leader. Bush suggested it was normal for neighbors to visit.

But he did seize on mention of the subject to offer his own pointed message to Tehran: "Stop exporting terror.''

Pfffffftttt!

STOP INVADING OTHER COUNTRIES, asshole!!!

With U.S. hostility toward Iran growing over its suspected nuclear weapons program, Bush said, "The international community is serious about continuing to isolate Iran until they come clean about their nuclear ambitions.''

International community = Israel

Bush also offered advice for what Iraq's prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, should say to Ahmadinejad. The U.S. accuses Iran of seeking dominance over Iraqi affairs and of training and supplying Shiite militia fighters with the ability to target Americans; Tehran has denied the charge.

"The message needs to be: Quit sending in sophisticated equipment that's killing our citizens and that the message will be that we're negotiating a long-term security agreement with the United States precisely because we want enough breathing space for our democracy to develop.''

He makes me sick.

.... One delicate topic that did not come up in public was Denmark's decision to investigate claims the CIA secretly used an airport on his country's remote Arctic territory of Greenland as part of the CIA's "extraordinary rendition'' program for suspected terrorists...."

Yeah, AND.... ?????

WTF?!?!
