As you read it, think militants = men.
You know, like FAMILY men.
Sniiiiifffffff! Aaaaaaahhhh!
The sweet shitstink of Bush's "liberation."
"US raid targeting Al Qaeda takes heavy toll on civilians; Total of 6 women, 9 children killed, with 19 militants" by Steven R. Hurst/Associated Press October 12, 2007
BAGHDAD - A US attack killed 19 insurgents and 15 civilians, including nine children, northwest of Iraq's capital yesterday in one of the heaviest civilian death tolls in an American operation in recent months.
Last Friday, a predawn US raid on Khalis, a Shi'ite city north of Baghdad, killed 25 people when US troops called in air strikes after meeting a fierce barrage while hunting suspected smugglers of arms from Iran to Baghdad. Village leaders said the victims included civilians.
At least 35 Iraqis were killed or found dead in attacks nationwide yesterday, as suicide car bombers struck a market in the northern city of Kirkuk and a cafe in eastern Baghdad.
[Oh, I see were are RISING BACK UP to the PRE-SURGE LEVELS, 'eh?
To the tune of about 35 people killed every day -- on the rise over the summer -- and the number of Iraqis killed by the surge is around 300 per day, 10,000 per month by U.S. operations in that country, with over 1.2 million Iraqis dead since the invasion.
Gee, that is getting into HITLER TERRITORY, Georgie old boy!]
Also yesterday, the US military revealed that rockets fired from a nearby abandoned school had struck Camp Victory, the sprawling headquarters for US forces in Iraq, killing two members of the US-led coalition and wounding 40 other people.
[But security is better; even though we are getting hit in our own bases.
Sick of the lies yet like me, readers?]
US bases in Iraq frequently face rocket or mortar attacks, but Camp Victory is well-entrenched on the capital's western outskirts and such heavy casualties are rare.
[That's strange; you NEVER HEAR ABOUT THAT!!!
Just "suicider car bombs and rabid "gunmen" from Islamic death squads running around.
Right?
Wrong.
the U.S instead has the Asymmetrical Warfare Group operating in country, readers?
Or such programs such as Operation Gladio, Operation Northwoods, the Salvador Option, and the Pentagon's "Proactive, Preemptive Operations Group."
And what about the British agents who are the stars of the Prop 201 tutorial?
Did I also mention the FRU?
Oh, O.K.]
By contrast, the US-protected Green Zone, which houses the American and British embassies and the Iraqi government headquarters in central Baghdad, is far more vulnerable and has faced a series of deadly strikes in recent months."
[Gee whiz, who knew?
I had heard violence was down in Iraq, and that security was up.
I dunno!]
And the New York Times?
They hide the violence in the back of a middle-front piece of page one propaganda:
"Attack on Police and Convoy Kills 9" by the New York Times News Service
BAGHDAD, Oct. 11 (AP) — A suicide car bomber attacked the convoy of a traffic police general on Thursday and killed nine in Kirkuk, an ethnically mixed city in northern Iraq. It was the latest in a series of attacks by insurgents on police officials. The bomb wounded 45 others. The police chief was wounded, but survived the attack.
American forces killed 19 insurgents and 15 women and children in airstrikes north of Baghdad, Reuters reported, citing a report from the U.S. military. It said the targets of the airstrike were suspected leaders of Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia.
In Baghdad, a mortar or rocket attack on Thursday on Camp Victory, an American bae near the Baghdad airport, killed two members of the allied forces and wounded 38. The military said it would not give further details in case it gave away important details about the camp."
[Just camping out, 'eh, soldiers?
INCOMING!!!!!!]
