Ron Paul and the MSM

As expected, not much for the good man in the "newspapers."

Boston Globe: "The debate, hosted by CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, and the Michigan Republican Party, was designed to focus on economic issues.... The debate was held in Dearborn, a Detroit suburb that has stood at the intersection of the major currents in Bush-era foreign and domestic policy.

Dissent from Bush economic policy came almost exclusively from the candidates lagging in the polls, who took issue with... the country's historical departure from the gold standard (Representative Ron Paul of Texas).

The libertarian Representative Ron Paul of Texas.... Paul scolded many of his rivals, accusing them of equivocating on whether it was necessary to seek congressional approval to go to war. Romney, for example, had seemed to imply it was a legal technicality, and he would have to consult his lawyers."

New York Times: "Representative Ron Paul of Texas said he would absolutely consult Congress and belittled Mr. Romney’s answer. “This idea of going and talking to attorneys totally baffles me,” Mr. Paul said. “Why don’t we just open up the Constitution and read it? You’re not allowed to go to war without a declaration of war.”

[You tell 'em, Ron]
