"One would think that a news service such as the Associated Press would be a source to trust, a source to look to for the truth….one should think twice if they believe that.
The demise of AP’s traditional rival, United Press International, as a major American competitor in 1993 left the AP as the only nationally oriented news service based in the United States. Its other rival English-language news services, such as Reuters and the English language service of Agence France-Presse, are based outside the United States.
In other words, Associated Press has a monopoly on the news…. which in reality means we the readers can be told anything they want to say to us, be it true or false. The above in italics was taken from this description of AP.
Case in point is a report distributed yesterday by them regarding the ordeal that Mohammed Omer is going through. It is full of misinformation, lies and yet, has been copied to newspapers throughout the United States and the western world…. There are EIGHT pages of links to the article in question on Google… Eight pages worth of newspapers that pay the AP good money for their ‘information’…. which YOU pay for when you buy the newspapers in question…
This type of ‘reporting’ must not go undisputed. Every newspaper that it appears in should be flooded with letters to the editor demanding the truth in reporting… not half truths, and especially not lies. If this does not happen, nothing will change and the nation will remain in darkness.
