"President tours wildfire sites
REDDING - President Bush offered federal help and encouragement yesterday to some of the 25,000 firefighters working under a blazing sun to contain wildfires that make up the single largest fire event ever recorded in California. Since a huge lightning storm on June 21, about 2,010 separate fires have ignited across California, ravaging nearly 900,000 acres. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in 12 counties affected by the wildfires and has called in the California National Guard to help (AP July 18, 2008)."
And yet it is a brief!
"Bush remembers Snow's 'record of accomplishment by Ben Feller, Associated Press | July 18, 2008
WASHINGTON - Bush was accompanied to the funeral on the campus of Catholic University by some familiar faces from earlier in his presidency, including former top adviser Karl Rove and onetime chief of staff Andrew Card. The shrine was packed with family members and friends and associates, including White House correspondents.
So when did Karl return to the country, and how come no one arrested him?
Bush flew by Marine One to Andrews Air Force Base directly from the site of the service and was traveling to California to inspect fire damage.
Yeah, when HE STOPS JETTING and LIMOING, then I'll take the fart mist about the environment seriously.
Why should I? Boston Globe doesn't!!!
In a homily, the Very Rev. David M. O'Connell, president of Catholic University, said, "The measure of this man's life can be found in his character, in his optimism, in his joy and humor, in his courage, in his passion for what was good and right, and in his love for God and family and neighbor and country."
Yeah, never mind the lying and law-breaking he abetted.
He was a great guy!
And THIS is what Congress and Bush are wasting time on?
NAMING POST OFFICES?!
The country is FALLING APART and THIS is "news?"
Case closed, readers!
Still fondly remembered in Brockton decades after his death, Rocky Marciano is now putting his stamp on the city's Post Office.
President Bush signed a bill into law Tuesday naming the Commercial Street building after Marciano, the rugged 1950s heavyweight champ known as the Brockton Blockbuster."
Meanwhile, here is another POTENTIAL weather event (where did Bertha go after the two days of coverage), while ONGOING ONES are IGNORED by this SHIT AmeriKan MSM!!
And I'M, TIRED OF IT!!!!!!!
"Tropical storm threatens coast
CHARLESTON - Tropical Storm Cristobal churned off the Southeast seaboard after it formed yesterday, making it the first storm to threaten the United States this hurricane season, forecasters said. The storm strengthened from a tropical depression, generating maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour as it promised to bring much-needed rains to the eastern Carolinas (AP July 20, 2008)."
