Memory Hole: Red Mosque Crisis

(Updated: originally posted July 11, 2007)

This was when I really began to lose it with AmeriKa's MSM.

The quotes are real, folks, because it is THEY who LIE!

July 6: "There was to be no negotiation with the clerics, government officials said.... the government vowed to settle for nothing less than surrender.... the rebellion was offering to surrender.... the government kept demanding unconditional surrender."

I remind you this was done at a time where Musharaff was looking to divert attention from the judge and lawyer crisis, readers, as well as later revelations that connected the Red Mosque "militants" as stooges of Pakistan's ISI.

July 7: "The government rejected the conditions for surrender."

July 8: "The government has refused to negotiate and said it will accept nothing less than unconditional surrender."

By this time, Musharaff has cut off food, water and electricity and his "security forces pummeled Islamic radicals with gunfire."

July 9: "Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said there would be no relaxation of the pressure on the militants to surrender.... Parents said the government should negotiate an end to the conflict rather than using military force."

July 10: "Government negotiators arrived before the military operation began.... The attempt at a negotiated settlement was a sharp turnaround in tactics for the government, after six days of gun battles and ultimatums demanding unconditional surrender"

And yet, on July 11 I get this:

"As the siege tightened day by day, Musharraf's government tried repeatedly to negotiate with the mosque's militant defenders."

Case closed, reader, on the LYING SHIT MEDIA!

CASE CLOSED!

Have I really been saying that for over a year?

Sigh!
