Massachusetts' Tax "Holiday"

Big fucking whoop!

"Mass. Legislature backs tax holiday for Aug. 16-17

The Massachusetts Legislature has voted to give consumers a two-day break next month from the state sales tax. Governor Deval Patrick has already pledged to sign the bill. By a 139-15 vote, the House of Representatives agreed to suspend the 5 percent sales tax on items costing up to $2,500 that are sold Aug. 16-17. Boats, cars, meals, and tobacco products are excluded, as are telecommunication services and gas, steam, and electricity utilities.

Oh, so it is NOT a HOLIDAY for EVERYTHING, huh?

Just on the things you DON'T NEED ANYWAY, huh?

PFFFFFFTTT!

Nothing like WASTING $ to PROP UP a SHIT ECONOMY!

How about STOPPING the FLEECING of TAXPAYER $ that I've been documenting here the last couple months, huh?

The Senate followed suit, voting 31-6 in favor. The bill needs a final procedural vote in each chamber today. Senators defeated a proposed amendment that would have made the holiday permanent (AP July 23, 2008)."

Of course they did; they NEED that TROUGH to FEED!!!!
