Israel's War Drums Getting Louder

Boom-boom-boom-boom, boom-boom-boom-boom!

Can you hear them? I put ZNN on for a few minutes and it was that puke John Roberts with "breaking news."

Yup, Iran in a "spectacular" show of force is testing missiles for the second straight day -- missiles that could HIT ISRAEL! I mean, he's pounding the drums, having a guest (Amanpour, pffft), every break he's coming back to it.

Then all day it was "Eye on Iran!" -- the few times I turned the damn thing on.

Sigh. I'm sick of them, so click.

Meanwhile, I spoke ahead of myself; page one treatment at the Boston Globe

"Iran test-fires 9 missiles in defiant show of might; Israel, other US allies in striking distance" by Jeffrey Fleishman, Los Angeles Times | July 10, 2008

CAIRO - With US warships in the Persian Gulf and the rhetoric between Iran and Israel growing more heated, Tehran yesterday test-fired nine missiles, including at least one capable of striking Israel and other US allies and interests in the Middle East.

You know, there wasn't all this ballyhoo when ISRAEL CONDUCTED THEIR WAR GAMES in the Mediterranean!

The missiles were launched during military exercises staged by Iran's Revolutionary Guards near the strategic oil shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. State television quoted a top military leader, General Hossein Salami, as saying the war games in the Persian Gulf would "demonstrate our resolve and might against enemies who in recent weeks have threatened Iran with harsh language."

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who was traveling in Bulgaria, said the launches constituted "evidence that the missile threat is not an imaginary one."

The tests were the latest drama in the standoff over Iran's nuclear enrichment program, which Tehran says will produce power for civilian use but the West and Israel allege is intent on building a bomb.

US and British ships were on military maneuvers in the Gulf.

But THAT doesn't garner the same level of ALARM, does it, Zionist MSM?

Unless, of course, you happen to be an IRANIAN!!!!!

Iran said earlier this week that it would retaliate against US and Israeli interests in the region if its nuclear facilities were attacked.

Iran's actions were also absorbed by the US presidential campaign. Democratic Senator Barack Obama called on the United States to work with its allies "to pursue direct and aggressive diplomacy with the Iranian regime backed by tougher unilateral and multilateral sanctions." He added that Iran "poses the greatest strategic challenge to the United States in the region in a generation."

Yeah, just latch on to that Israeli ass cheek, 'bamer -- and say goodbye to my vote.

"Rice Warns Iran That U.S. Will Defend Allies" by MICHAEL SCHWIRTZ and ALAN COWELL

MOSCOW — The confrontation between Tehran and Washington seemed to sharpen on Thursday as Iran tested missiles for the second successive day and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the United States would defend its allies and protect its interests against an attack.

Ms. Rice was speaking in the former Soviet republic of Georgia at the end of a three-day tour of Eastern Europe. At a press conference in Georgia, Ms. Rice declared:

We will defend our interests and defend our allies. We take very, very strongly our obligations to defend our allies and no one should be confused of that.”

So WHAT FALSE-FLAG OP is being set up, Condi?

And what about RUSSIA and ITS ALLIES (Iran)?

The remarks come amid increasingly tense exchanges between Iran and the United States over Iran’s civilian nuclear program, which Washington and many Western governments have warned could be used to cloak the development of a nuclear weapon.

Can't bring yourselves to say "Israel," can you, NYT?

Some in the U.S. saw the Iranian tests on Wednesday as essentially deterrent in nature. A senior American intelligence official said the missile tests, together with belligerent comments by Iranian officials, seemed part of a strategy to warn Iran’s neighbors of its “capacity to inflict pain.”

Good thing the USrael is never "belligerent," huh?

After a while, you just get tired of the shit-skew, no what I mean?

“I think Iran has a hedgehog strategy: mess with me and you’ll get stuck,” said the official, Thomas Fingar, the deputy director of national intelligence for analysis and head of the National Intelligence Council, during remarks at the Center for National Policy, in Washington.
