How My Local Was Better Than the Boston Globe

I can't lie to you, readers. It came as a shock. It shouldn't have, but it did.

The Boston Globe is engaged in far more CENSORSHIP than even I imagined.

It is the last AmeriKan MSM War Daily I purchase -- one New Year's resolution that stuck is I have not purchased one copy of the New York Times in 2008 (and never will again) -- and I was floored. Seeing as the New York Times owns it I shouldn't be surprised, but I am floored, readers.

Here's why. Here's what my crappy local yokel dug up that the Boston Globe chose to ignore
:

"Bush defends decisions on North Korea, Olympics"

TOYAKO, Japan (AP) - "Hundreds of protesters rallied under heavy police security Sunday. A demonstration by about 2,500 people on Saturday led to a brief clash with police; four people, including a television cameraman, were detained. Protesters have not been able to get near the summit venue, but have scheduled daily rallies about 60 miles north, in Sapporo, the largest nearby city."

Oh, Globe.

Whenever I see coverage of any protest in
your paper ever again.... pfffft!

And must cruise my
environment tags and you'll see how they have buried all that, too!

Oh, lest we forget bidness!!!!

"The buck doesn't stop here; it just keeps falling" by TOM RAUM

"The almighty dollar is mighty no more. It has been declining steadily for six years against other major currencies, undercutting its role as the leading international banking currency. The long slide is fanning inflation at home and playing a major role in the run-up of oil and gasoline prices.

Vacationing Europeans are finding bargains in the U.S., while Americans in Paris and other world capitals are being clobbered by sky-high tabs for hotels, travel and even sidewalk cafes. Northern border-city Americans who once flocked into Canada for shopping deals are staying home; it's the Canadians flocking here now.

The Globe alludes to this stuff, and spins it all as if it were a good thing.

Like a wet towel to the face, readers!

I really can't describe the dejection I feel at the Boston Globe; it really is a shit rag (sob!)!!!

Everything made in America -- from goods to entire companies -- is near dirt cheap to many foreigners. Meanwhile, American consumers, both those who travel and those who stay at home, are seeing big price increases in energy, food and imported goods. The dollar has lost roughly a quarter of its purchasing power against the currencies of major U.S. trading partners from its peak in 2002.

Since oil is bought and sold in dollars worldwide, the devalued dollar has made the recent surge in energy prices even worse for Americans.

Oil, suggests influential energy consultant Daniel Yergin, is "the new gold."

The limp greenback has had one big benefit to the U.S. economy: Since it makes American goods cheaper overseas, it has helped manufacturers who export and other U.S. based companies with international reach. Exports have been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise darkening U.S. economy.

Translation: It has helped MULTINATIONAL FIRMS that can HIDE PROFITS OFFSHORE!

Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Economy.com, said expanding exports due to a weak dollar are "an important source of growth, but it doesn't add a lot to jobs, it doesn't mean very much for the average American household. For the average American, for the average consumer, these are pretty tough times."

The loss of the dollar's purchasing power and international respect has some experts worrying that the euro might one day replace the dollar as the so-called primary reserve currency. And that could trigger a dollar rout as foreign governments and international investors flee from U.S. Treasury bonds and other dollar-denominated investments.

Making matters worse: The gaping U.S. current-account deficit. There's no telling where the buck will stop these days, although for the past few weeks it seems to be in a holding pattern. Even as three Bush Treasury secretaries in a row spouted the strong-dollar mantra, the dollar kept tumbling against the euro, the pound, the yen, the Canadian dollar and most other major currencies.

The Federal Reserve could prop up the dollar by increasing interest rates under its control. The Fed must do a balancing act between keeping the domestic economy from going into recession and keeping inflation at bay.

It's so strange to read that garbage, and then go and read this:

Ron Paul Revolution Excerpts: Money

See what I mean, readers?

Leaders of the eight countries were to meet in Japan beginning Monday, but the falling dollar was not even on the formal agenda. It's too touchy an issue, and the dollar's relative stability over the past few weeks makes it easier for world leaders to steer clear. "People will be talking about it in the corridors," said Reginald Dale, a senior fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

See what I mean about Ron Paul, readers?

Does he have it pegged or what?

The impact of the falling dollar is not always visible to the average consumer. But imported goods, from fuel to cars from Japanese automakers and toys from China -- are getting more expensive just as U.S. wages are either stagnant or falling.

American companies suddenly look cheap to acquisition-minded foreigners, particularly those based in Europe. And some of the decline in the dollar's global role "is due to the foreign policy failures of the Bush administration, not just to recent economic developments and policies," suggests Adam S. Posen, deputy director of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a former economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In other words, some international investors unhappy with Bush's policy on Iraq or toward other parts of the world might not wish to invest in American companies or buy U.S. bonds.

Thanks, Bush! Thanks a whole pile, you slave of Israel!

Still, he argues that the euro is unlikely to replace the dollar as the world's main reserve currency, and that the euro may be at "a temporary peak of influence." David Wyss, chief economist at Standard & Poor's in New York, says he envisions a day when the dollar and the euro will share billing as the world's reserve currencies.

He predicts that the dollar will remain roughly at its present levels "for a couple years." Still, he says, "We might not be done with this down leg."

Another big problem for the dollar is that the European Central Bank is likely to hike rates while the Federal Reserve stands pat, giving euro-based investments a bigger yield advantage.

The dollar has been the leading international currency for as long as most people can remember. But its dominant role can no longer be taken for granted.

That's when the U.S. is prone to START WARS!!!!

Paul Volcker, who headed the Federal Reserve from 1979-87, warned in April that the nation was in a dollar crisis, and that what is happening now reminds him of the early 1970s, when serious inflation erupted as economic growth stagnated.

Those are the GOOD OLD DAYS compared to NOW!!!

I know because I'VE LIVED THROUGH BOTH!!!!

Let's see, let us not leave out IRAQ:

"More power in Iraq, but shortages linger"

"Don't try to convince Taha Yassin that Iraq's power shortages are finally easing: His children cry each night when the fan cuts off and the house heats up.

In Baghdad, despite the improvements, many people still get only three to four hours of city power — and they are bitter.

"It is a tragedy that has turned our life into a nightmare," said Yassin, a minibus driver whose house in Baghdad's Baladiyat neighborhood gets four hours of city power a day. U.S. officials say the current average in Baghdad is about 10 hours of power a day and nationwide, nearly 11 hours.

The decline had begun during the 1991 Gulf War, when U.S. warplanes targeted the grid. Damage also occurred during the 2003 invasion.

The Zionist-controlled, apologetic AmeriKan MSM would never dare deign to describe those as the WAR CRIMES THEY ARE!!!!

BOTH FATHER and SON!!!

WAR CRIMES to KNOCK OUT POWER CIVILIANS NEED!!! PERIOD, end of discussion!!!!

And REMEMBER, folks, we are IN THERE on a HORSE PILE of LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to read U.S./"coalition"/MSM lies about how much better things are for the Iraqis, be my guest.

Here are --MORE--"

And if you want to slide down the shitter for the Globes coverage, hit the Iraq labels!

I'm ready to barf, folks! I'm also feeling a hurt in my chest!

And then there is blessed, oh Lord, blessed PALESTINE!

Of course the Globe would skip over this.

I don't even want to say Zionist-controlled, etc, etc, but THIS PROVES IT!

If ISRAELIS were the ones CHUGGING SHIT we'd be HEARING ALL ABOUT IT!!!!!

"Gaza struggles with waste between Israel's closure and Palestinian militant attacks" by DIAA HADID (Associated Press Writer)

SHATI REFUGEE CAMP, Gaza Strip - When a toilet is flushed in Gaza City, the waste sloshes straight into the Mediterranean sea.

A yearlong standoff between Israel and Hamas has left the territory's sewage system in a state of collapse, flooding its postcard-pretty coastline with human waste at the start of summer's swimming season and sending a fierce stench wafting over this crowded refugee camp and other nearby neighborhoods.

The sewage problems could have potentially deadly consequences: Last year, five people were killed when a small waste reservoir collapsed. Health officials say other reservoirs are endangered, too, and the health threat from raw sewage could become deadly serious unless the situation is addressed soon; the World Health Organization already has warned people not to enter the sea.

Upon reading this, I find that the title of my post was 100% correct:

The Boston Globe Goes Into the Toilet

See what befouled water area the Zionist-controlled Boston Globe decided to shitlight?

Sigh!

"If the amount of sewage dumped into the sea remains at this rate, we'll be facing a dark future for sea water in Gaza," said WHO official Mahmoud Daher.

Pumping sewage into the Mediterranean is not new. But the problem has worsened over the last year. The fuel shortages have meant that treatment plants work only intermittently, and since January, an additional 10.4 million gallons of partially treated sewage have also been fouling the sea.

Munzir Shiblak, of Gaza's sewage utility, said he needs 39,000 gallons of fuel each month to treat the additional waste. From January to April, he said, the plants received less than half that, because of both Israeli sanctions and Hamas "mismanagement."

In the seaside Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood in southern Gaza City, a pipe disgorges turbid water straight into the sea. Unwitting children swim just yards away.

And fucking CHECK THIS OUT:

Israeli beaches only a few miles (kilometers) away from northern Gaza are untouched by the waste. When Israel directly ruled the coastal territory, it built sewage reservoirs in northern Gaza to keep sewage from flowing in its direction.

Yeah, let the Palestinian kids swim amongst the shit, 'eh, you Zionist monsters?

Fuck you and your shit-stink state!!!!

What is a shame is even my local cut that last little bit about Israel; of course, the town paper is run by a couple of Jews and they are always bending over backwards and shoving the Zionist agenda in our faces.

That's why this day surprised me so. Do you think they really know what they are doing?

The World Health Organization warns that children could contract diarrhea, dysentery and hepatitis from swimming in polluted areas, though there are no reported increases in these illnesses so far, Daher said.

Yeah, but they are ONLY PALESTINIAN CHILDREN so THAT'S O.K.!!!

And what the hell, just for funnsie-onesies:

"For Republicans, the Senate outlook is bad"

For Republicans, the Senate outlook is bad; Mississippi and other longtime strongholds could go Democratic this fall. Obama's candidacy is a boost." by Janet Hook Los Angeles Times Staff July 6, 2008

WASHINGTON — A remarkable political trend that has been eclipsed by the fireworks surrounding the 2008 presidential contest: Democrats are running strong Senate campaigns in states such as Mississippi, Alaska and North Carolina that Republicans have long taken for granted.

"This is the toughest election in my 32 years in the United States Senate," wrote Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R- Utah), vice chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, in a fundraising letter. Senate Republicans are defending 23 seats; 12 Democratic seats are at stake.
