Globe Gas on Global Warming

They farted hard and farted long. Can't you smell the stink?

"Warming health report: Poor, elderly to hurt most

WASHINGTON -- Global warming will affect the health and welfare of every American, but the poor, elderly, and children will suffer the most, according to a new White House science report released Thursday.

I'm tired of the agenda-pushing, I really am!!

And where did this report come from? The EPA and the White House?

PFFFFFTTT!

The 284-page report, mostly written by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, said every region of the country will be hit by worse health from heat waves and drought. It said all but a handful of states would have worse air quality and flooding. It predicts an increase in diseases spread by tainted food, bad water and bugs.

So the explanation is set to go when they release the pathogens meant to cull 80% of us!

The report "concludes that climate change poses real risk to human health and human system that supports our way of life in the United States," EPA's climate change research program director Joel Scheraga said at a news conference.

Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels. At current emission levels, global temperatures are likely to rise by about 2 degrees by midcentury and about 7.5 degrees by the end of the century, according to an international panel of scientists.

Most of the ill effects of global warming have been mentioned in past federal and international reports, but this report details how climate change will "accentuate the disparities already evident in the American health care system."

So GLOBAL WARMING is now the cause of shitty health care!!!

Sigh! Really, WHAT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

The most vulnerable Americans -- the poor, elderly, sick, very young, and immigrants -- will suffer more, said Kristie Ebi, the lead author of the health sections of the report and a private public health consultant. That's at least 10 percent of the country's population, probably more, she said.

It will be tougher for these people to get adequate health care for climate-related illnesses, cool down in heat waves, escape extreme events such as Hurricane Katrina, and even get enough food, the report said.

"Even in the United States, the greatest health burdens related to climate change are likely to fall on those with the lowest socio-economic status," the report said. And it notes that global warming poses "significant risks for the elderly who often have frail health and limited mobility."

While every region of America is vulnerable to global warming's health and welfare effects, more people are moving into coastal regions, which are most vulnerable to climate change because of drought and hurricanes, the report said.

This is one of 21 reports produced by the federal government's climate change science program, which reports to the White House science office and taps the expertise of various government agencies."

Well, it's a good thing we have a government that would never lie to us and cares about us so much!!

WASHINGTON - An ounce of prevention in community health programs could save states hundreds of millions in healthcare costs, a new study has found.

The report from Trust for American Health, a nonprofit health advocacy group here, found that programs encouraging physical activity and healthy eating and discouraging smoking were a better investment than those concentrating on treatment. The results are laid out in a state-by-state breakdown.

"We've got to change the mindset from treating sick people to preventing illnesses in the first place, and this report shows that we ought to be more serious about investing up front," said Senator Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat and chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.

The report, called "Prevention for a Healthier America," emphasizes a major role of nonprofit community health programs, such as the YMCA, in preventative efforts, as well as state and local governments' responsibility to help create healthier communities. Researchers endorsed such initiatives as increased tobacco taxes, smoke-free laws, nutrition labeling on restaurant menus and maintaining sidewalks as low-cost ways to encourage healthy living.

They act like they have just discovered this.

By the way, if they care so much about our health, why is the FDA so incompetent?

I'll let Al Gore tell you what it is all about:

"Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."

Well, well, well, the BLOGS were RIGHT AGAIN!!!

"Gore sets energy goal for 2018; Says global warming may be alleviated" by Associated Press And Globe Staff | July 18, 2008

WASHINGTON - Former Vice President Al Gore challenged Americans yesterday to switch all of the nation's electricity production to wind, solar, and other carbon-free sources within 10 years, a goal that he said would solve global warming as well as economic and natural security crises caused by dependence on fossil fuels.

Gore, one of the leaders of the Democratic Party and its presidential nominee in 2000, was noticeably nonpartisan in issuing his challenge. He not only said he had had substantive conversations with Obama and McCain, he also made a point of thanking Bob Barr, a former Republican congressman who is the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee.

"I appreciate your open mind and serious approach," Gore told Barr.

An that's all they mention of it.

Never tell you what Barr thought or why Gore thanked him. WTF?

Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."

And just who do you think will be picking up the tab for the conversions, folks?

Yup, you got it!

"Texas electric customers will bear the cost of the $4.9 billion plan"

AUSTIN, Texas - Environmentalist and consumer groups called the move a critical expansion of the "renewable energy superhighway," predicting it will spur wind energy projects, create jobs, reduce energy costs, and reduce pollution.

Like the NAFTA superhighway?

And you guys were wrong about ethanol, so sorry.

Texas electric customers will bear the cost of the $4.9 billion plan over the next several years, paying about $4 more per month on their electric bills, according to Tom Smith, director of the Texas office of the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen."

Quite a bummer to fix a problem that isn't happening, huh?

"Global Warming Conclusively Debunked As Gore Calls For CO2 Tax

Paul Joseph Watson

Friday, July 18, 2008

The world is cooling, sea levels are falling, ice is spreading, there are fewer extreme weather events, and it was hotter 1000 years ago, yet the myth of global warming is providing governments the excuse to micromanage every aspect of our lives, with Al Gore now openly calling for a carbon tax on the energy we use.

....

Another common cry from the alarmists is the contention that global warming is causing extreme weather events. Despite there having been far more violent and devastating weather events before the post World War 2 rise in CO2 levels, every flood, hurricane, tornado or cyclone is blamed on human-induced climate change.

The facts tell a different story. According to the American Meteorological Society, global warming hasn’t given us more cyclones, hurricanes, or tornados.

Furthermore, scaremongering about droughts attributed the global warming is disproved by the fact that levels of rainfall have increased.

Hysterical phony environmentalists like to imagine that the world has never been hotter, despite the fact that the planet has violently swung between extremes of temperature for eons.

New figures from the US National Council for Air and Stream Improvement debunk the IPCC’s notoriously controversial “hockey stick” graph and illustrate that the earth was a warmer place 1000 years ago. During such times, farmers in Greenland grew crops and even cultivated vineyards on a land mass that is now over 80% ice covered.

Despite evidence pouring in that the planet has naturally turned course and now embarked on a cooling trend, wild rhetoric, fearmongering, lecturing and bullying about the necessity for us to accept intrusions into our rights of mobility, privacy and behavior in the interests of saving the earth is at an all time high.

Global corporations and governments have joined forces to launch a united propaganda assault about how we must turn “green” while all the real environmental crises - deforestation, GM crops, chemtrails, genetic splicing, and cancer-causing cellphone tower radiation - are completely ignored."

Of course, forget about the facts, right, AmeriKan MSM?!

I mean, even the Pope is promoting it!!!!

SYDNEY - Pope Benedict XVI said yesterday that mankind's "insatiable consumption" has scarred the Earth and squandered its resources, telling followers that taking care of the planet is vital to humanity.

The 81-year-old pontiff, appearing rested and in good form, gave his first major speech for Roman Catholicism's World Youth Day before adoring crowds who had traveled from 168 countries to see him in Australia's largest city.

As the sun set in the mild chill of the Australian winter, Benedict struck a theme that has earned him a reputation as the "green pope."

"Some of you come from island nations whose very existence is threatened by rising water levels, others from nations suffering the effects of devastating drought," the pope said, referring to global warming.

He noted that during his more than 20-hour flight from Rome to Sydney he had a bird's eye view of a vast swath of the world that inspired awe and introspection.

Ummm, how much of a CRABON FOOTPRINT did he leave jetting there?

Excuse me, Pope, but PFFFFFFFTTTT!

"Perhaps reluctantly we come to acknowledge that there are also scars which mark the surface of our Earth: erosion, deforestation, the squandering of the world's mineral and ocean resources in order to fuel an insatiable consumption," he said.

The crowd, some 200,000 young pilgrims gathered on a disused wharf on Sydney's harbor, waved their national flags and frequently applauded. Seeking to inspire a new generation, he warned the young Roman Catholics that a society without unwavering values is bound to suffer confusion and despair.

He decried alcohol and drug abuse and condemned "the exaltation of violence and sexual degradation, often presented through television and the Internet as entertainment."

He told reporters during the flight from Rome to Australia that he believes the church in the West is in "crisis" because people feel they have no need for God. Yesterday, he warned the pilgrims of the threats from secularism.

"If God is irrelevant to public life, then society will be shaped in a godless image, and debate and policy concerning the public good will be driven more by consequences than by principles grounded in truth," he said.

It is all part of what he called a "poison" threatening to corrode the good in society." Of course, the Pope gets his comeuppance the very next day:

"Pontiff apologizes for abuse by clergy; Wants offenders to be punished" by Rohan Sullivan, Associated Press | July 19, 2008

SYDNEY - Pope Benedict XVI apologized yesterday to victims of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic clergy, describing the acts of offenders as "evil" and a grave betrayal of trust.

Support groups for victims of church abuse in Australia, whose numbers are not known but who activists say are in the thousands, had demanded the pope make a full and open apology for clergy abuse and do more to prevent it.

Yesterday, the pope told representatives of Islam and other faiths that they must unite to combat religion's role in "sinister and indiscriminate" violence.

Without mentioning terrorism directly, the pontiff said there are those who using religion "as a cause of division rather than a force for unity." He made the comments during a 40-minute exchange with Australian Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist leaders in Sydney."

Oh, he worked terror in, too, huh?

One wonders if he will ever criticize the Zionists, and if not, why.

And here is the solution to the carbon "crisis," readers, courtesy of the Boston Globe:

"Feet give the best, cheapest mileage

A gas-price-inspired walking renaissance.

Gas prices have everyone talking about fuel-efficient vehicles, but our legs, of course, get the best mileage of all. And with Boston's compact size and transportation network, millions of people could potentially get around pretty easily without cars, if we tried a little harder.

It was a nice walk and a good way to show Landman's sister and brother-in-law what the city looked like. But it was getting even hotter, above 90, and we needed to get back to South Bay.

I hailed a cab."

Nice little elite stink shit, huh?

But guess who WILL BE WALKING if the agenda-pushers have their way.

And the whole purpose of all this is MORE FOR THEM!!!

But, but, but, Al Gore is a great guy!

Yup, I thought so once, too, but those days are long gone!!!!
