Accusing the Wrong War Criminals

I keep waiting for the charges against George W. Bush and Tony Bliar to come down, but so far, no luck.

"Sudan president charged with genocide; International prosecutor says Darfur targeted" by Stephanie McCrummen, Washington Post | July 15, 2008

NAIROBI - The chief prosecutor for the International Criminal Court charged President Omar Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan yesterday with genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity for orchestrating a brutal, scorched-earth campaign against particular ethnic groups in Sudan's western Darfur region.

Chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo of Argentina, according to a statement:

"His alibi was 'counterinsurgency.' His intent was genocide. . . . He has mobilized the entire state apparatus, including the armed forces, the intelligence services, the diplomatic and public information bureaucracies, and the justice system" to subject the targeted groups "to conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction."

Seeing as 9/11 was a BLACK BAG, INSIDE JOB then Bush is GUILTY of SAME in regards to Iraq and Afghanistan.

And don't even get me started on Israel and the Palestinians!

An arrest warrant against Bashir provides much-needed leverage. The United States and other members of the UN Security Council could, for instance, suspend the charges - as is allowed for the sake of peace according to the court's charter - in exchange for Sudan's full cooperation on a settlement in Darfur."

Oh, so this is about POLITICAL POSTURING, not a SERIOUS CONCERN about war crimes, is it?

When you consider who the U.N. is a tool for, this makes a lot more sense, doesn't it, readers?
