Iranian Justice Better Than Bush Tyranny

My eyes nearly fell out of my head when I saw the headline:

"Iranian Judge Bans Detentions Without Charges" by NAZILA FATHI

TEHRAN — The chief of Iran’s judiciary has issued a decree ordering judges not to detain suspects unless charges are pressed against them, Iranian newspapers reported Wednesday.

While Bush reserves the right to INDEFINITELY IMPRISON and TORTURE ANYONE!!!!

Exhibit A:
To Live and Die in Gitmo

Iran’s system of criminal punishment — which includes public executions and stonings for adultery — has been sharply criticized in recent months by human rights organizations as being overly harsh.

I love how they have to slip in the Ziobias!!

Umm, on executions, the U.S. leads the world, so we ought not lecture anyone!

We have the largest prison populations, and we torture.

We got no right criticizing anybody!

It is unclear if the decree by the judicial chief, Ayatollah Mahmoud Shahroudi, will have much impact because the country’s intelligence apparatus generally holds people without charges, and it does not consult judges.

Who gives a flying fuck what Iran does when our asshole system DOES the SAME THING!!!!!!!

Iran’s Constitution states that suspects should not be held for more than 24 hours without being charged.

Hey, Bush doesn't follow ours, so why should we beef about Iran?

I really don't care about what other people do; America is in trouble right here!

Of course, this is the purpose of the Zionist War Daily!

If Ayatollah Shahroudi’s order is followed, it will probably have its greatest effect on political activists and religious minorities, who are often held indefinitely without charges.

Ayatollah Shahroudi is a senior cleric who was appointed by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme religious leader. He has criticized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the past.

Although he is a conservative, Ayatollah Shahroudi has issued several decrees in recent years calling for judicial reforms.

In 2002, he called on judges to stop sentencing people to death by stoning, although Islamic law specifies that punishment for adulterers.

That was a "conservative" Iranian mullah, huh?

Oh, do I ever get tired of the damn Israeli lies passing as news on the NYT website!

Despite the order, at least one man was executed last year by stoning and at least two imprisoned women have received the sentence, according to women’s activist groups.

Ayatollah Shahroudi issued another decree last month, this one banning public executions without his approval. The order came after dozens of criminals were hanged in public last summer around the country and film of the executions incited international outrage.

Human rights groups have charged Iran with having one of the highest rates of executions, with almost 300 carried out in 2007.

But WE'RE NUMBER ONE!!!!

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

In one recent case, a 22-year-old man was sentenced to death for drinking alcohol, the ISNA news agency reported. The man, identified only by his first name, Mohsen, received the sentence after he was caught for the third time violating the country’s Islamic ban on drinking alcohol.

In some quarters, that might be a good thing (put that drink down, Georgie).

And whether this is accurate or not, I'm just sick of the Zionist bias in the New York Times!

And yet they pile on more:
Iran Vetoes Candidates

Two words, Times: RON PAUL

According to Agence France-Presse, which quoted the newspaper Hemayat, the latest decree on detentions reads: “Refrain from summoning people without pressing charges. Refrain from holding people under arrest without pressing charges. Refrain from pressing bail without setting charges.” It also ordered judges to “refrain from summoning people without sufficient proof.

That sounds SO MUCH BETTER than what AmeriKan justice is!

WTF, readers?
