"'Everytime, a major political move needs to be done, Al-Qaeda is introduced to the area that needs to be destabilized'"

"Mosul - another Baghdad.

Friday, 1 February 2008

About 9 months ago, I told an acquaintance from Mosul, that Mosul's turn is coming up after Baghdad. He dismissed what I said.

And what I foresaw is taking place in Mosul. Mc Clatchy started its article with
"Iraq's third-largest city looks like Baghdad did a year ago"

The last events in Mosul should be seen in the context of the Kurds bid for Kirkuk. Kirkuk is very close to Mosul.

Everytime, a major political move needs to be done, Al-Qaeda is introduced to the area that needs to be destabilized. I have noticed that over and over again.

Contradicting reports on Mosul. Some say the Kurds are responsible for the latest waves of explosions and deaths, some say it is the Americans and the Kurds, some say it is the sectarian Iraqi forces...

Rice says it is Al-Qaeda. The American's favorite word. And I quote
"This is the most brutal and the most bankrupt of movements that would do this kind of thing," (talking about the latest explosions in Baghdad) and she adds

"It says to me that the Iraqi people have been right to turn against these terrible violent people in their midst who will do anything and I hope that it affirms for them how right they were to turn against the foreign fighters of al-Qaida, whether it is in Anbar or the local citizens committees that are taking back their streets."

and check this out - "The struggle is not over and there will be from time to time terrible days like today but I think that will underscore that for the Iraqis and it will make them tougher in the fight..."

Ryan Crocker US Ambassador to Iraq adds, Al-Qaeda "found a different, deadly way to try to destabilize Iraq."

So the American Administration has assured us that it is not AMERICA who has destabilized Iraq with its occupation - very funny indeed but am not amused at all.

Translate that to: We need the al-Qaeda excuse from Baghdad, to Anbar, to Mosul, to... fill in the blanks - so we can remain and stay put in Iraq and in the Middle East for a long time to come.

Only in the light of this long term American policy, do events make sense in Iraq. And guess who is reaping the real benefits ? Iran and Israel.
