"Kurd group says it is open to talks"

ANKARA - A Kurdish guerrilla group, which has bases in northern Iraq that Turkey has threatened to attack, said yesterday it was open to discussing a political settlement that could lead to laying down arms, the Firat news agency reported (AP November 10, 2007)."
