Lebanese Crisis Continues

Well, actually, no, since it has disappeared from the pages of the NYT!

I guess Lebanon doesn't exist if the Times says so, 'eh, readers?

"Hezbollah criticizes US interference, adds new condition for election" by Hussein Dakroub/Associated Press November 26, 2007

BEIRUT - Iran-backed Hezbollah yesterday blamed US interference for the Lebanese Parliament's inability to elect a president and added a new condition for choosing the next head of state: The leader must support the powerful Shi'ite Muslim group's fight against Israel.

Yeah, only our "enemies" demand. Israel never does!

And Hezbollah is right about U.S. interference!

The Lebanese Connection

The Redirection

Sheik Naim Kassem, Hezbollah's deputy leader, in a speech in southern Beirut, blamed US "interference" for the lack of consensus in Lebanon:

"We want a president who believes in national participation and in the right to defend one's land and protect its people. This government is illegitimate and unconstitutional. It doesn't exist, so it can't rule and it can't exercise the role of the presidency. American interference, through which they tried to dictate conditions [for the new president], is what blocked the consensus and kept the elections from being held on time."

Hezbollah fought a guerrilla war against Israel's 18-year occupation of a border strip in southern Lebanon that ended in 2000. It sparked a 34-day war with Israel in the summer of 2006 after it killed three Israeli soldiers and captured two others in a cross-border raid.

Except that those soldiers were on the LEBANESE SIDE!!!!!!

THE TWO ISRAELI SOLDIERS WERE CAPTURED IN LEBANON

See how the MSM REPEATS LIES, readers?

Why should we believe anything AmeriKa's "news" papers say, readers?
