Globalist Goo on the Environment

First the spill that is fouling the Bay:

"Oil Spill Spreads in San Francisco Bay" by CAROLYN MARSHALL

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 9 — Challenged by strong winds and tides, cleanup crews struggled Friday to contain an oil spill spreading in the San Francisco Bay as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency for the area.

One problem after another, 'eh, guvernator?

No stranger to natural disasters in California, the governor traveled to the Bay Area on Friday for a briefing on the status of the 58,000-gallon spill, which started early Wednesday after a 900-foot container ship rammed into a tower of the Bay Bridge. The ship was crippled, and oozed the oil that has closed 16 beaches and, at last count, killed more than two dozen water birds.

Mr. Schwarzenegger said Friday: “There is tremendous damage on the wildlife and on the beaches. If mistakes were made, then we will bring them out.”

And I'll
bust the arm of anyone who brings them up!!!

Fourteen local, state and federal agencies are now involved with the investigation, recovery and cleanup of the tanker’s payload, consisting of diesel fuel and dense oil used to power ships. But the cleanup effort has done little to blunt criticism aimed at those who first responded to the accident on Wednesday.

Initial reports of the accident suggested the oil spill dumped less than 200 gallons of fuel into the bay. City officials and the public did not learn from the Coast Guard about the true extent of the spill and its damage for roughly 12 hours.

Why they always gotta lie!?

The bulk of the criticism has fallen on the Coast Guard, which is leading the cleanup along with the California Department of Fish and Game. The Coast Guard conceded Friday that “mistakes were made,” although agency officials said the errors were in communication, rather than disaster response.

That's cause all the money is spent on the wars now!

Captain William Uberti of the Coast Guard.:

The response went well. We rolled immediately. That’s why we got 8,000 gallons collected in the first day.”

Oh, that's just great as the beaches are a mess!

The O’Brien’s Group, the American emergency response management company overseeing the cleanup for Hanjin Shipping, the South Korean company operating the ship, said the commander of the vessel took quick action and followed federally approved disaster response protocols. The ship was under the temporary command of a San Francisco Bay pilot, Capt. John Cota, at the time of the accident.

Everything is either fucking outsourced or privatized these days!

More than 200 workers were trying to corral the spill or clean soiled birds on Friday. About 18,000 feet of collection booms have been floated around the bay to skim and soak up oil. Twenty teams of wildlife experts have been working to collect and clean oil-stained animals.

Yvonne Addassi, wildlife branch director with the California Department of Fish and Game:

We’re probably going to see a lot more birds coming in over the next few days; hopefully they will be alive.”

And you thought they weren't screwing with the weather as some sort of global plan?

Then FEAST your eyes on THIS!

"Experts Discuss Engineering Feats, Like Space Mirrors, to Slow Climate Change" By CORNELIA DEAN

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Nov. 9 — There is now “no doubt” that some of the effects of human-induced climate change could be offset with engineering fixes, according to David Keith, an expert on climate and energy at the University of Calgary.

Yup, NO DOUBT now!!!

But what action should be taken, based on this knowledge? That was one of the knotty questions he and other experts wrestled with at a two-day conference that ended here on Friday.

Dr. Keith, an organizer of the conference, said that at one time he thought scientists should not talk in public about “geoengineering” remedies for global warming — like injecting chemicals into the upper atmosphere to cool the poles, or blocking sunlight by making clouds more reflective or stationing mirrors in space.

They already do: called
chemtrails!

Like many other researchers, he explained, he worried that the potential for a climate fix, even an imperfect one, would only encourage people to continue the profligate burning of fossil fuels that got the planet into trouble in the first place. As a result, geoengineering is much talked about in the blogosphere.

The only place you can get the truth these days!

Thomas Homer-Dixon of the University of Toronto, an expert on how societies adapt to economic and ecological change, in an interview, a serious discussion of geoengineering might finally sound an audible alarm for others:

When people in the general public realize that serious scientists are thinking seriously about doing this, they are going to say, ‘O.K., we really need to look for alternatives.’”

Yup, the ENVIRONMENT is the way they are going to sell their mass extermination plan to us!

Yup, the MSM has lied about everything, but they are telling the truth on this!

I think the earth is always changing, that's what I think!

And until the elite Globalists give up the perks, I ain't buyin!

Another issue, as several conferees put it, are the “unknown unknowns” — consequences of planetary engineering that cannot be anticipated but may be serious or even devastating.

Dr. Keith, in an interview: “Will there be some consequences you don’t like? Of course.”

I'll bet! Like extermination of 80% of us for starters!

Also, as several researchers noted, engineering a cooler earth would do nothing for other climate-related problems, like the way accumulating carbon is making the oceans more acidic.

And who should decide what action should be taken or when?

Dr. Keith replied: “I have no idea.”

But some do!

But just as international organizations were formed to regulate the use of radio frequencies, organize air traffic control, track space debris and deal with other problems, it might be possible to create an international organization to deal with these questions, he said.

Keith: “We are backing our way into global governance, very slowly.”

See what the "environmental" cause is now, readers? I hope you do!

On one subject, though, there was wide agreement: interest in geoengineering is no longer merely theoretical. The participants in the conference noted that global emissions of greenhouse gases were already moving above the upper limits predicted by many climate models. As a result, several said, the projected arrival of ice-free summers in the Arctic Ocean has shifted, in a few years, from 2100 to 2040 to 2013. And survival estimates are changing for the Greenland ice sheet, whose melting would cause a potentially devastating rise in sea levels. Once couched in terms of millenniums, they are now expressed in centuries or even decades.

Yup, PUSH the FEAR!!! Whatever will make us surrender our freedoms!

In any case, many of the scientists noted, humans are already geoengineering — with the greenhouse gases they are pumping into the atmosphere.

One way or another, Dr. Keith said, in 200 years the earth will be “an artifact,” a product of human design."

Probably a desolate, radioactive ball if that's the case!
