"Rice picks envoy to track Mideast talks" by Robert Burns and Amy Teibel/Associated Press November 29, 2007
Also yesterday, at the White House, President Bush told the leaders of Israel and Palestinian territories he is personally committed to their mission of peace, urging them to stick with it and not lose sight of their goal.
Bush met separately with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the White House, and then with the two men jointly before the trio emerged for a presidential sendoff from the Rose Garden. The stagecraft capped three days of US-sponsored diplomacy centered on an international Mideast peace conference held Tuesday in Annapolis, Md.
Bush, with Olmert on one side and Abbas on the other:
"No matter how important yesterday was, it's not nearly as important as tomorrow and the days beyond. I wouldn't be standing here if I didn't believe that peace was possible."
The Bush administration pronounced itself pleased with the outcome of the conference.
Abbas, speaking with reporters after the White House sendoff, said Bush determined to reach a peace treaty during his term:
"We found him zealous in that direction."
Abbas was asked whether he found Israel to be a serious peace partner, laughed and said:
"I am not going to judge their intentions. We say that we have a partner and we are ready to work with this partner to reach this treaty."
Olmert, for his part, reiterated at a briefing with Israeli reporters that a peace deal could not be implemented until the violence against Israel from Gaza stops. A deal, he said, won't be implemented until conditions crucial to Israel are met."
Now why would the Zionist MSM want to get rid of all that?!
And it's all the same old, nothing shit!

"Bush Promotes Middle East Peace Dialogue" by STEVEN LEE MYERS and STEVEN ERLANGER
WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 — At the White House, President Bush met for the third consecutive day with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel and Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, though in separate meetings.
After the diplomatic wrangling that culminated with Tuesday’s meeting at the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Md., the meetings on Wednesday focused on bilateral relations and the next steps in the peace process, according to Mr. Bush’s press secretary, Dana M. Perino.
The three leaders, with their aides, also met for 20 minutes informally in the Oval Office and then appeared in the Rose Garden as Mr. Bush offered a short statement that seemed strikingly subdued after the emotional appeals of Annapolis.
Bush, bracketed by the two leaders, their hands behind their backs:
“Yesterday was an important day, and it was a hopeful beginning. No matter how important yesterday was, it’s not nearly as important as tomorrow and the days beyond.”
Neither Mr. Olmert nor Mr. Abbas spoke at the White House.
The Israeli prime minister later met with journalists and voiced reservations even as he said he was committed to trying to reach an agreement by the end of 2008. He conditioned any deal on the Palestinians’ fulfillment of the terms of the “road map,” an agreement from 2003 that linked negotiations to steps from both sides and that both sides have complained was broken from the start.
So were are back to the beginning of the road, huh?
Palestinians didn't get to pass go and collect $200?
Olmert: “We will do all we can to try to reach an agreement as soon as possible, and we can do it. It doesn’t mean you can implement it. We can’t implement an agreement unless and until you have the terms of the road map fulfilled.”
That means NO DEALS!
Stephen J. Hadley, Mr. Bush’s national security adviser, appearing at Johns Hopkins University, said the Annapolis agreement was possible because the United States was not imposing terms of a peace treaty on the two sides.
Hadley, according to a transcript:
“The president will not force a resolution of differences, nor impose a peace plan with his name on it."
Which means NO DEAL, because he is taking orders from Israel!
